Job summary

Arup is seeking a Principal/Senior Transport Planner to join our Transport Consulting team in the UK. You will work on major regeneration schemes, masterplans, and nationally significant infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on bus planning, policy, and sustainable transport.

You will lead and assure technical work, advise clients, manage projects and budgets, and contribute to business development while supporting junior colleagues in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport and development planning work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects, programmes and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead early‑stage transport and development planning work for complex sites.
• Oversee projects, budgets, quality and commercial outcomes including fee negotiations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support business development.
