Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in London is seeking a Senior Public Health Design Engineer to lead public health design across multi-disciplinary projects, from concept through construction. The role combines client liaison, technical delivery and team leadership within a busy Southwark practice.

You will coordinate with MEP and BIM teams, produce specifications, calculations and reports, attend client meetings, and mentor junior engineers, with a clear progression pathway as the team expands.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Public Health design within building services.
• Proven experience as a Design Engineer in a UK-based MEP consultancy.
• Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards and best practice.
• Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the public health design on projects across all RIBA stages.
• Produce detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical and BIM teams.
• Attend client and design team meetings.
• Oversee junior engineers where required.
• Manage workload and programme delivery autonomously.
