• Experience working on a variety of building projects.

Responsibilities

• Design public health systems for diverse building projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Develop designs for domestic water, hot and cold water systems, drainage, rainwater harvesting, and greywater solutions.
• Support projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Attend design meetings, site visits and client workshops.
• Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards and best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing public health systems for a variety of building projects
• Producing calculations, specifications, reports, and technical design documentation
• Developing designs for:
  • Domestic water services
  • Hot and cold water systems
  • Above and below ground drainage
  • Rainwater harvesting systems
  • Greywater and sustainable water solutions
  • Sanitary and waste systems
• Supporting projects from concept and feasibility stages through to detailed design and construction
• Coordinating designs with multidisciplinary project teams
• Attending design meetings, site visits, and client workshops
• Ensuring designs comply with current regulations, standards, and best practices
• Assisting with technical reviews and design coordination activities
• Supporting sustainable and energy-efficient building design solutions

What You'll Bring

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Public Health Design Engineer within the building services sector
• Relevant engineering qualification in Building Services Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong technical knowledge of public health building services systems
• Experience producing detailed design calculations and specifications
• Familiarity with current UK regulations, standards, and design guidance
• Experience working on a variety of building projects

Desirable Experience

• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation
• Experience within large consultancy environments
• Revit and BIM project experience
• Sustainable design and water conservation expertise
