Job summary

Egis, via Omnia Projects in the UK, is seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Engineer to support protection, control and SCADA commissioning across substations and distribution assets up to 132kV (and higher where applicable).

The role requires delivering commissioning activities, coordinating with internal and external resources, and ensuring regulatory and customer obligations are met. A UK driving licence and relevant certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical Engineering is required.
• TP141 or SR141 or CE141 certification is essential.
• 10+ years’ experience delivering protection commissioning in electricity distribution/transmission.
• Strong knowledge of protection on switchgear, transformers and feeders up to 400 kV.
• Must satisfy company operational authorisation requirements and have a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Commission and integrate protection, control and SCADA across distribution assets.
• Perform pre-commissioning inspections and off-load commissioning tests.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Testing and project meetings as required.
• Witness testing of switchgear, transformers and protection schemes.
• Record time spent on projects and provide progress reports.
