Job summary

Egis, a leading global engineering firm, seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support protection, control and SCADA commissioning across distribution assets up to 132 kV. You will work with inhouse teams on projects nationwide, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

Applicants should have 10+ years’ exposure to protection systems and hold relevant certifications (TP141/SR141/CE141). Flexible travel and a UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering required.
• Certification (TP141/SR141/CE141) essential.
• 10+ years’ experience in protection commissioning for electricity distribution/transmission.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute protection, control, and SCADA commissioning across substations, cables, overhead lines and civils.
• Perform pre-commissioning inspections and witness FATs.
• Test relay logic, protection schemes, and DNP3/IEC61850 integration.
• Record time spent and report progress to stakeholders.
