Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Senior / Lead Protection & Control Systems Engineer in Glasgow with hybrid working. You will lead technical design across Protection & Control for UK transmission & distribution projects, shaping solutions and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a strong understanding of UK T&D, IEC 61850, and driving design workshops, with responsibilities from system architectures to client approvals.

Qualifications

Requires strong technical leadership and ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience with Protection & Control technologies in T&D projects.
Familiarity with IEC 61850 communications and substation protocols.

Responsibilities

Lead and advise on Protection & Control elements across projects.
Chair design workshops and technical reviews with stakeholders.
Develop SLDs, KLDs, system architectures and concept designs.
