Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer (Proposals) in the UK to provide technical engineering expertise during quotation processes for Solartron ISA’s wet gas, subsea and niche differential pressure flow meters.

You will work with sales, engineering and operations to generate detailed proposals and costed solutions, applying standard products or developing custom options. Based in Shildon, the role requires about some travel for proposal clarification and order kick-off meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree or relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Review client specifications and interpret requirements.
• Generate product sizing and selection from process data.
• Prepare tender and contract review documentation.
• Provide technical liaison between internal teams and customers.
• Own complex and strategic proposals.
• Mentor new engineering starters.
• Occasional travel for customer meetings.
