Job summary

Yorkshire Pie Company is seeking a Senior Property Solicitor in Leeds to advise clients on commercial property matters and lead complex transactions. You will collaborate with estates and operational teams, and guide junior lawyers while helping shape innovative, technology-enabled delivery of legal services.

Ideal candidates will have 4–10 years PQE, substantial experience in commercial property asset management, leases, and related finance transactions, plus a track record of building strong

Qualifications

• Solicitor with approximately 4 to 10 years PQE.
• Experience in commercial property matters.
• Experience in asset management, including leases, licences, variations, surrenders and consents.
• Experience in real estate finance transactions.
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients and work with their legal, estates and operational teams.
• Lead negotiation, drafting and management of commercial property matters.
• Advise on leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions and related agreements.
• Advise on and manage real estate finance transactions.
• Prepare and review certificates of title, charges, searches, officers' certificates and legal opinions.
• Build strong, long term client relationships and develop understanding of commercial objectives.
• Cooperate with colleagues across the managed legal services team and wider firm.
• Support continuous improvement and technology enabled approaches to legal service delivery.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.

The successful candidate will play a key role within a highly regarded managed legal services team in Leeds, advising clients on commercial property matters. You will build relationships with well known clients, handle complex transactions and support junior lawyers while helping shape innovative ways of delivering legal services.

Description

The Senior Property Solicitor will be:

• Acting as a legal adviser to clients and working closely with their legal, estates and operational teams
• Leading the negotiation, drafting and management of commercial property asset management matters
• Advising on leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents and related agreements
• Advising on and managing real estate finance transactions
• Preparing and reviewing certificates of title, charges, searches, officers' certificates and legal opinions
• Building strong, long term client relationships and developing a detailed understanding of commercial objectives
• Working with colleagues across the managed legal services team and wider firm
• Supporting continuous improvement and technology enabled approaches to legal service delivery
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Maintaining high standards of quality, service delivery and client satisfaction

Profile

The Senior Property Solicitor should be:

• A solicitor with approximately 4 to 10 years PQE
• Experienced in commercial property matters, ideally within a private practice, in house or managed legal services environment
• Experienced in commercial property asset management, including leases, licences, variations, surrenders and consents
• Experienced in real estate finance transactions and related documentation
• Commercially minded with the ability to understand and respond to clients' wider business objectives
• Confident building relationships with senior stakeholders
• Able to manage a varied caseload
• Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
• Experienced in supervising, coaching or mentoring junior colleagues
• Interested in technology, innovation and modern approaches to legal service delivery

Job Offer

• Salary between £80,000 and £90,000
