Imperial College London is seeking a Senior Property Operations Manager to join their property team based at their White City campus.
Imperial College London, a global top ten university with world-changing impact, is a leading institution in science, technology, engineering, medicine, and business (STEMB). The university has one of the largest and most complex estate portfolios in the country, comprising over 500,000 sqm mainly in London, with additional operational, commercial, and investment properties elsewhere in the UK.
This role is crucial for managing Imperial’s commercial residential assets and ensuring efficient service charge accounting for both Imperial’s commercial tenants and situations where Imperial is the tenant.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio including Private Rental, Key Worker Accommodation (Imperial Living), Build to Rent assets, and commercial lettings. Responsibilities include overseeing service charge accounting, which involves recharging or paying estate charges and services to Imperial’s tenants.
The role requires leading third-party service providers to meet contractual requirements and maximize income. It demands specialized knowledge in cross-sector property, contract management, and facilities management. The post holder will identify and implement operational FM improvements, supervise service providers, and handle day-to-day property and estates management tasks. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement across the university.
We are seeking candidates with exceptional stakeholder management skills, proven experience in property portfolio management, a strong understanding of service charge accounting, and expertise in contracts and facilities management.
