Job summary

BCL Legal is assisting a leading national law firm in Birmingham to recruit a Senior/Principal Associate in Property Litigation. You will handle high-value real estate disputes, mentor junior lawyers, and help shape the team’s strategic direction while benefiting from hybrid working.

The role targets a commercially minded solicitor with 4 PQE+ and a track record across landlord/tenant, development disputes, and related issues. A clear path for progression awaits in a top-tier practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 4 years' PQE in property litigation.
• Broad experience in landlord and tenant, rights to light, development disputes, and land registration.
• Strong commercial awareness and client-focused advice.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with client engagement and BD enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex property disputes including landlord and tenant litigation.
• Advise clients across retail, leisure, public and development sectors.
• Manage key client relationships and act as a trusted legal advisor.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal training and development.
• Take part in business development initiatives and thought leadership.
• Play a strategic role in the continued growth of the Birmingham office's real estate disputes offering.
