Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Projects Director / Head of Projects to lead the delivery of major projects, with a strong HVAC / mechanical engineering background. You will oversee budgets, programmes, client relationships and drive best practice across project delivery.

The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, develop teams, and ensure delivery safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining high technical and contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior project management / project leadership position.
• Strong technical background in HVAC, mechanical building services or M&E.
• Proven experience managing complex, high-value projects.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness, including budget and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• A track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Relevant technical or project management qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction across the project function.
• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects.
• Lead, develop and mentor project management and technical teams.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, resources and commercial performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, technical, quality and H&S requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and commercial issues.
• Oversee project planning, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Drive consistent project management processes and best practice across the business.
• Provide regular project performance updates to senior management/directors.
• Support business development, tenders and client presentations where required.
