Job summary

HE Space Operations is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support ESA projects from its Harwell site. You will develop and maintain schedules, analyse milestones and performance metrics, and provide risk-based insights to keep programmes on track.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least 5 years in scheduling, with strong analytical skills and fluency in English for cross‑border collaboration in an international context.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, project control or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of project planning and scheduling tools.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills; fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support schedule and risk management activities across ESA projects and programmes.
• Develop, maintain and analyse project schedules, milestones and performance metrics.
• Monitor progress; identify schedule risks, issues and mitigation actions.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and schedule performance analyses.
• Support project reviews, planning activities and stakeholder coordination.
• Maintain scheduling tools, processes and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and best-practice implementation.
• Assist project teams in delivering projects on schedule and in line with objectives.
