Job summary

Eliquo Hydrok Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-value projects and multi-project portfolios across the UK water and manufacturing sectors. The role combines programme leadership with people management and senior stakeholder engagement to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and to quality standards.

You will line-manage Project Managers and Engineers, drive governance, and manage risks and financial performance while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience leading, supporting and developing a team.
• Experience of the UK Water Industry and/or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract management.
• A project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, PMP, or equivalent) or Professional Chartership.
• IOSH qualification.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple projects or batch work with shared resources and interdependencies.
• Strong client and stakeholder management at senior levels.
• Commercial, financial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of complex, novel, and high-risk projects.
• Hold overall responsibility for batch work or programme portfolios and ensure alignment with strategy and client objectives.
• Ensure governance, planning, risk management and reporting across projects and programmes.
• Manage interdependencies between projects, resources and stakeholders.
• Own programme-level financial performance including forecasting, cost control and commercial risk management.
• Line-manage, coach and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Set objectives, conduct reviews and support professional development with Head of Department.
• Promote best practice in project management disciplines and tools.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture focused on delivery excellence.
• Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues and resolve complex problems.
• Provide guidance on troubled or at-risk projects to recover performance.
• Build and maintain senior-level client relationships and serve as key contact across portfolios.
• Support bids, proposals and scope definition for new work and ensure client satisfaction.
• Ensure governance, risk and compliance across portfolios and champion lessons learned.
