Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Project Planner to own and manage delivery schedules across the full lifecycle of HVDC projects. The role involves planning, monitoring and controlling activities with hybrid work arrangement (2/3 days in Birmingham offices).

You will develop integrated schedules, perform risk analyses, and lead schedule reviews with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure on-time, within-scope project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Experience as a Project Planner in EPC, energy, power transmission or similar
• Thorough understanding of sequencing and interfacing of EPC project activities
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules
• Experience using Primavera P6 is preferred
• Knowledge of HVDC, power transmission or large infrastructure projects is advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to influence multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, monitor and control delivery projects from tendering to close-out
• Own development, maintenance and analysis of integrated project schedules
• Define work breakdown structures and baselines with project teams
• Develop, monitor and adjust schedules across all project phases
• Lead schedule review sessions and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Support tendering activities with schedule deliverables and risk assessments
• Promote planning best practices and drive continuous improvement
