Job summary

LOCKROSE is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major transmission and distribution projects across the UK, including substations, HV cables and overhead lines.

The role requires proven leadership, strong health and safety focus, and the ability to manage scope, programme and budget with a hybrid working pattern and travel to project sites across the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years' experience in the UK energy sector.
• Proven experience delivering transmission and/or distribution projects in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Demonstrable experience across high-voltage cable, overhead line and/or substation projects.
• Strong background managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Experience managing project budgets, programmes, risks and commercial performance.
• Good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
• Understanding of UK construction legislation, CDM requirements and industry safety standards.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience using project planning and controls tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission and distribution projects across the UK from development to handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, commercial and construction functions.
• Manage project risks, interfaces, outages, access requirements and programme activities.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, change control and cash flow to meet commercial objectives.
• Administer NEC contracts, changes and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards across teams and supply chain.
• Build strong client relationships and liaise with network owners and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver project reports on progress, programme, cost, risk and performance.
• Support project close-out, handover and lessons learned.
