Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their London practice, delivering public sector projects across residential and education sectors. • Experience working within a construction or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Proven track record delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Experience in the public sector, especially residential and/or education projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction procurement, contracts and project delivery.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree in Construction Project Management, Building Surveying or related discipline.
• MRICS, MAPM or working towards accreditation would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, taking responsibility for delivering projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully, managing programme, cost, quality and stakeholder expectations throughout. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of construction projects across the public sector, particularly residential and education.
• Managing projects from feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover.
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Managing project programmes, budgets, risks and reporting.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and contractors.
• Overseeing procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor appointments.
• Managing project governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting requirements.
• Identifying and resolving project risks and challenges to maintain successful delivery.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.
• Contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

What I'm Looking For

I’m keen to speak with Senior Project Managers who have a strong construction consultancy background and experience delivering projects across the property sector. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience working within a construction or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• A proven track record of delivering construction projects from inception to completion.
• Experience within the public sector, particularly residential and/or education projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction procurement, contracts and project delivery.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• The confidence to lead projects independently and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant degree qualification in Construction Project Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• MRICS, MAPM or working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.

You don't need to have experience across every sector. A strong foundation in construction project management, excellent client-facing skills and the ambition to progress are equally important.
