About the job you’re considering

Working as part of the Programme Leadership team within the Domains delivery unit, successful candidates will lead the delivery of technology-enabled transformation projects of varying sizes and complexities across sectors. These projects include:

• Delivery/implementation of package-based products (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)
• Cloud migrations/transformations
• Custom solutions, complex integrations, data products/science, AI/Gen AI/Agentic AI/Machine Learning
• Business Organisational Change

Our delivery approaches follow Agile, DevSecOps, and hybrid methodologies. The Domains delivery unit works with both public and private sector clients (excluding Financial Services).
Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between company offices, client sites, and home, but you will not work 100% remotely.

Successful candidates will undergo checks including immigration status, employment history (last 3 years), and criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

• Manage all aspects of project and programme delivery, ensuring adherence to cost and time parameters.
• Participate in sales and pre-sales activities, contribute to bids, and lead solutioning and contract negotiations with clients.
• Develop client relationships at senior and board levels.
• Contribute to the development of methods and knowledge within the Programme Leadership team.
• Conduct programme and project health checks to ensure value delivery and benefits realization.

Skills and experience

• Experience in large-scale technology transformation projects, including ERP, custom builds, AI solutions, Cloud migrations, and Business Change.
• Deep industry experience in public or private sectors.
• Proven leadership in client-facing delivery, managing teams with budgets from £2m to £20m and 1,500 to 10,000 man-days.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
• Ability to shape propositions and projects that deliver effective business transformation.
• Professional development, relevant degrees, or management qualifications preferred; certifications like PRINCE2, MSP, or M_o_P advantageous.

Security clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks are required, with additional checks if residing outside the UK within the last 3 years.
