Job summary

Intercity is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive complex projects from planning through delivery in the UK. You will collaborate with customers, colleagues, and delivery partners to define objectives, manage teams, and ensure outcomes meet time, cost, quality, and scope requirements.

You will own the project lifecycle, maintain plans and RAID logs, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and report progress to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Proven ability to deliver on time, within budget, and to scope/quality requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders and customers.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers.
• Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through full delivery lifecycle from initiation to closure.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, budgets, and resources.
• Maintain clear project plans, RAID logs, and reporting.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests to keep delivery on track.
• Build relationships with customers, stakeholders, teams, and suppliers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and clarify responsibilities and priorities.
• Monitor performance against plans, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and leadership on progress and decisions.
• Support governance and maintain project documentation and processes.
