Job summary

Thales is seeking a Project Manager to join Thales Underwater Systems (UWS) supporting CUES, a critical project to develop and manufacture a new sonar type for the Astute class submarines.

Based in Cheadle (preferred location) or Templecombe with a hybrid working arrangement, the role involves on-site presence three days per week and leading delivery across the full development lifecycle within a high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering projects in a complex, multi-site organisation.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and supporting the work-package team.
• Embed delivery accountability and proactive risk/opportunity management.
• Manage stakeholders and leverage adjacent functions such as engineering, industry, and procurement.
• Define execution strategies and create schedule baselines for work packages.
• Maintain robust baselines and accurate forecasts through the lifecycle.
• Establish and control KPIs for on-time delivery and forecast confidence.
• Represent the project at governance reviews and drive quality, cost and delivery.
