Job summary

Thales Underwater Systems (UWS) seeks a Project Manager to join the CUES programme in the UK, based in Cheadle with hybrid work (on-site 3 days/week). You will lead delivery across the full development lifecycle for a key sonar project for Astute class submarines, driving governance and improvements.

You will be responsible for strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and proactive risk and opportunity management, ensuring baselines, KPIs, and robust project controls are in place to deliver on

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex projects in a multi-site environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and governance skills.
• Proven track record in project controls, scheduling, and risk management.
• Experience with budgets, contracts, and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and support the project team and individuals within the Work Package.
• Embed delivery accountability and proactive risk/opportunity management.
• Build trust with stakeholders across engineering, procurement and industry.
• Define execution strategies and create baselines for work packages.
