Job summary

Thales is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead for the Under Water Systems (UWS) project in the UK. You will drive mechanical design and capability, support the Project Design Authority (PDA) and Product Line Authority (PLA) in technical matters, and lead problem resolution with industry partners to advance future product capability.

You will coordinate product architecture with mechanical architecture, monitor industry developments, and mentor other team members while carrying out specialist

Qualifications

• Strong experience in mechanical design roles including Creo, PDMLink and 3D CAD.
• Ability to lead and mentor a mechanical team and drive capability improvements.
• Familiarity with design for subsea environments and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the Mechanical Engineering Lead for the UWS project and provide direction to the mechanical team.
• Coordinate product definition and assess trade-offs between cost, customer requirements and technical possibilities.
• Mentor team members and support design for subsea environments, providing trials and integration support.
