Novus Property Solutions in the UK seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead refurbishment and fast-fit out projects across Leisure, Retail and Education sectors. You will manage site teams, contractors and clients, delivering on time, within budget and to high safety standards while travelling nationally and embracing hybrid working.

The role requires strong knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts, SMSTS or NVQ, and proficient use of MS Projects.

Formación

• Experience in refurbishments and fast-fit-out contracts.
• SMSTS or NVQ qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong IT skills and MS Projects proficiency.
• Full UK driving licence for site travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead projects from inception to completion across sites.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and clients to meet scope, cost and schedule.
• Develop and monitor works programmes weekly.
• Chair sub-contractor meetings and prepare site reports.
• Ensure health, safety and CDM compliance on all sites.
• Provide value-adds to clients and drive revenue growth.

Location: Base - Stoke on Trent head office; Hybrid role, Covering sites based Nationally with overnight stays - Home and Site based (must be able to access either Stoke head office as and when required) - working Monday to Friday, typically 8.30am – 5.00pm

As Senior Project Manager for Novus, you’ll get to see the impact and improvements your role delivers to your customers and team every day. This varied and challenging role offers you the opportunity to work with and manage a skilled and professional team of both direct staff and sub contractors in a secure environment with new and existing clients and the opportunity to grow and learn.

Leading projects from inception through to completion, including architectural design, construction delivery, and all M&E elements, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients across the Leisure, Retail, and Education sectors.

With a strong understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts and a proven track record within fast-track fit-out and refurbishment environments, you'll have responsibility for the control and management of several Site teams whilst ensuring a number of projects are completed to programme, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to Health & Safety of their operational team, the client, or the general public. The successful candidate will be client facing in a live environment and have extensive knowledge of Refurbishment and Fast Fit out, ideally within the Leisure, Retail, Health and Education sectors and be happy to travel nationally with some overnight stays whilst also embracing hybrid working.

Along with utilising your Project manager skills you will be managing contractors, suppliers and clients to deliver, quality, costs, profitability and value to meet the requirements of designated projects. Whilst also looking for ways to add real value to the clients and customers you work with. Supported by your peers, team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.

An outline of your responsibility as a Project Manager

• Develop the main logic of the works programme and monitor progress of the same weekly.
• Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
• Source labour and maintain high quality productivity.
• Expedite materials and information release from design team.
• Day to day planning of operations and problem solving.
• Check and correct time sheets and allocation sheets.
• Hold, chair and minute sub-contractor meetings.
• Prepare reports for site meeting with design team and attend same.
• Report contractual risk situations to the Senior Project Manager
• Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag free building.
• Approve choice of sub-contractors with Manager and agree programmes

About You

As an experienced Senior Project Manager you will have the experience of working within Refurbishments and Fast fit out contracts. Ideally you will hold SMSTS or associated NVQ, but if this has expired, we will support you to renew, it’s the knowledge and skills that goes with the qualification that’s essential to us. Our preferred candidate will be experienced , knowledgeable, be a self starter who is focused on delivery and able to communicate well with the team to ensure everyday runs smoothly. Confident IT skills including MS Projects is required also. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence to travel to Sites regularly.
