The Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee financial and business management within a major digital transformation programme. This role involves leading within the Programme Management Office, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and managing complex financial information. We offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning and business management of the largest digital transformation programme within the Environment & Business directorate. The Regulatory Services Programme aims to deliver digital services that will revolutionize how the Environment Agency regulates.
You will lead within the Programme Management Office (PMO), providing valuable input into the financial and business management of the programme to support risk mitigation and removal of barriers, ensuring alignment with the business case and value for money.
We seek someone with a proven track record in managing complex financial information, collaborating to drive value for money, and influencing ongoing investment.
Main Tasks:
The Team:
The Digital, Innovation and Programmes team oversees the Digital Strategy and its implementation across E&B, setting strategic direction for digital services that transform regulation processes.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside Defra shared services and third-party suppliers to shape the delivery of user-centered online services and digital platforms that are efficient, simple, and fast.

You will have an incident management development plan, with support and training provided. The role is flexible with a national office base, with some travel and overnight stays possible.
