The Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead financial and business management for a major digital transformation project. This role involves overseeing financial information, supporting governance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. We offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning and business management of the largest digital transformation within the Environment & Business directorate. The Regulatory Services Programme is responsible for delivering digital services that will transform environmental regulation.
You will lead within the Programme Management Office (PMO), providing valuable input into the financial and business management of the programme. Your role will support risk mitigation, help remove barriers to delivery, and ensure value for money aligns with the business case.
We seek someone with a strong track record in managing complex financial information, capable of collaborating to drive value and influence ongoing investment.
Responsibilities include:
The Digital, Innovation and Programmes team directs the digital strategy across E&B, shaping delivery of user-centered online services and digital platforms to improve efficiency and user experience.
Ideal candidates will have digital skills across Microsoft products, experience managing complex financial data, and knowledge of financial, business planning, and budgetary processes, including charge funding, CDEL, and RDEL.
Additional desirable experience includes working in fast-paced digital programmes, managing business cases, governance, and stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with digital project delivery.
