The opportunity

Are you an experienced and motivated infrastructure/construction project management professional who wants to lead the delivery of projects in one of the world’s top manufacturers of radars, lasers, and infrared countermeasures systems? Are you looking to join a growing business and take on a new challenge? Leonardo offers a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Project Manager to join our Edinburgh-based facilities projects team.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate all infrastructure/construction projects across the Leonardo Edinburgh site, managing key supply-chain partners and third-party professionals, in collaboration with the site SVP, leadership team, and other stakeholders.

This role is based in Edinburgh with a hybrid work option, involving some travel to other Leonardo UK locations. The variety of projects will challenge you daily and support your professional growth, backed by Leonardo’s learning culture.

Reporting to the Head of Facilities Projects, you will lead a significant infrastructure/construction program and be part of the Projects leadership team to evolve project delivery strategies.

What you’ll do as the Edinburgh Senior Project Manager

• Ensure successful, compliant, safe, and timely delivery of all infrastructure and construction projects at the site.
• Engage with stakeholders and partners to develop and implement project programs covering all RIBA stages.
• Maintain project compliance with CDM regulations and Leonardo processes.
• Lead projects including net zero infrastructure, business growth, workspace reconfigurations, M&E and fabric upgrades, and security projects.
• Organize project programs effectively to meet safety, compliance, and business priorities.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices in project management within the site and UK FM teams.

What We Need From You

You really must have

• Proven experience in infrastructure/construction program management within complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
• Leadership and collaboration skills within an extended delivery team.
• Numerate, commercial, analytical, results-driven, with high drive and commitment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full knowledge of CDM Regulations (2015).
• Degree in a relevant subject.
• Membership or accreditation by a relevant professional body.

It would be nice if you had

• Experience working in defence/high-security environments.
• Experience in high-tech engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Experience delivering net zero infrastructure and workplace change projects.
• Experience with industry-standard contract forms.
