Job summary

Copello is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering and delivery programmes. The role requires ownership of scope, cost and quality, with collaboration across engineering, commercial and business stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Applicants should have a track record in regulated environments, strong leadership, and the ability to drive delivery in a dynamic, bid-focused setting. On-site work in Hertfordshire is expected 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex engineering projects from definition to delivery.
• Proven ability to manage bids, tenders and new business activity.
• Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management across multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of budgets, schedules, resources and risk management.
• Experience in regulated industries such as defence, aerospace or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering and business projects from definition through successful delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
• Manage project risks, opportunities, dependencies and change through the lifecycle.
• Coordinate technical and commercial activity across multidisciplinary teams.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide clear project reporting and drive actions to address issues.
• Support bids, tenders and new business opportunities including estimating and planning.
• Translate customer requirements into achievable project plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and embed best practices.
• Support development of less experienced project managers.
