Job summary

Actemium Automation Hampshire seeks a commercially aware Senior Project Manager / Sector Lead to deliver water and wastewater automation projects across the UK. You will lead a team of Project Managers and Engineers, manage safety, budget and schedule, and develop long-term customer relationships within AMP programmes.

In this strategic role you will set engineering standards, drive NEC contract compliance, and identify opportunities for asset improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in system integration, industrial automation or control systems engineering.
• Proven experience delivering projects in UK water and wastewater industry.
• Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA and telemetry systems.
• Leadership experience managing project teams and technical resources.
• Full project lifecycle experience from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical quotations and project scopes.
• Subcontractor, stakeholder and customer management experience.
• Commercial awareness with contract, budget and profitability management.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts in engineering/utilities projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of automation and control system projects across water and wastewater sector.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management and performance.
• Coordinate resources across multiple projects and teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through project reviews and lessons learned.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with water industry customers and partners.
• Identify opportunities for future projects and asset improvement programmes.
• Support tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Ensure NEC contract compliance and effective commercial management.
