Job summary

Build Search is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a high‑rise, new build scheme in Greater Manchester valued at circa £80m, starting on site in 2027 under the Building Safety Regulator. You will lead a large on‑site team, liaise with clients, design and programme management, and drive delivery through planning and pre‑construction stages.

Ideal candidates have a main contracting background, proven delivery of £20m–£100m projects, and strong leadership with multi-room and concrete frame

• Proven delivery of New Build projects ranging from £20m to £100m.
• Strong leadership and programming skills.
• Multi-room experience preferred.
• Concrete frame experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As Senior Project Manager, you will report into a visiting Contracts Manager.
• Lead a team of Site Managers, Design Managers, Planner, MEP and Commercial staff.

Job description

At Build Search, we are working alongside one of the UK's and North West's leading Main Contractors in the Building sector. Due to a successful period in work winning, our client are looking to appoint a new Senior Project Manager to deliver a key and iconic new project starting in 2027.

This is a New Build, high rise residential scheme in the Greater Manchester area. Valued at circa £80m and starting on site in 2027, once it's PCSA is complete. Due to the height of the scheme, this is via the Building Safety Regulator.

We are looking for highly competent Project Lead, who has experience in a Main Contracting environment who is capable in leading a large site team, with a key hand in client engagement, design and programme management, providing excellent leadership to a wider team and all stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity, to be involved in the pre-construction and planning stage of a key development in the area and an opportunity to win further phases of the wider masterplan.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• Main Contract (Building) background
• Project Manager or Senior PM level now
• Proven delivery of New Build projects ranging from £20m to £100m
• Strong leadership, programming skills
• Multi-room experience preferred
• Concrete frame experience preferred
