Job summary

Dexter Talent is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Lancashire for a client-facing role delivering end-to-end software implementation projects. You will lead delivery, manage budgets and stakeholder relationships across a varied portfolio while mentoring junior PMs within the team.

The role requires a hands-on delivery style, strong driving energy, and the willingness to travel to client sites across the UK. Hybrid working is offered with a focus on delivering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering software implementation projects in a client-facing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering on time and to a high standard.
• Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
• Commercially aware with experience managing project budgets.
• Solid understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies.
• PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK as required.
• Experience with SaaS or cloud-based software delivery.
• Background managing programmes or portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects, controlling time, cost, quality and scope.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders from project team to executive level.
• Identify risks early and drive resolutions rather than escalating.
• Support pre-sales activities through scoping, planning and estimating.
• Run Project Boards and Steering Committees.
• Produce and maintain key project documentation including status reports and financial tracking.
• Mentor junior Project Managers and contribute to delivery-framework improvements.

Senior Project Manager | Lancashire (Hybrid) | £45k to £55k

A fantastic client of ours is looking for a Senior Project Manager who gets things done. This isn't a role for someone who oversees from a distance they want someone who gets close to the client, understands the problem and drives delivery with real energy and accountability.

You'll be leading end-to-end software implementation projects in a client-facing environment, managing a varied portfolio and mentoring junior PMs within the team.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects managing time, cost, quality and scope
• Building genuine trusted relationships with client stakeholders from project team through to executive level
• Getting ahead of problems - identifying risks early and driving resolution rather than just escalating
• Supporting pre-sales activity through scoping, planning and estimating
• Running Project Boards and Steering Committees internally and externally
• Producing and maintaining key project documentation including status reports and financial tracking
• Supporting, mentoring and potentially line managing junior Project ManagersContributing to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks and processes
