Job summary

Carmichael UK in West London is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a flagship energy infrastructure project. You will be responsible for programme delivery, commercial performance, stakeholder management and end-to-end execution from inception through to completion.

The role involves guiding multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors and consultants, ensuring NEC contract compliance and robust risk management, with regular updates to senior leadership and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major energy/infrastructure projects.
• Leadership experience in Tier 1 contractor or utility environment.
• Strong NEC contracts knowledge and commercial management.
• Experience managing large project teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related.
• APM or PMP qualifications desirable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major energy infrastructure project in West London. Working on a high-profile scheme, you will take full responsibility for programme delivery, commercial performance, stakeholder management, and the successful execution of works from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of a major energy project, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and HSE targets are achieved.
• Manage multidisciplinary delivery teams, subcontractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee project planning, risk management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Drive project performance and provide regular reporting to senior leadership and client teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing commercial and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering major energy, power, utilities, transmission, distribution, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in project leadership within a Tier 1 contractor, principal contractor, or major utility environment.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large project teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as APM, PMP, or equivalent are desirable.
