Job description

Have you worked as a Project Manager or Programme Manager delivering business or data transformation, not just managing timelines? Are you comfortable stepping into complex environments and quickly getting control of multiple projects at once?

Can you build clear, practical plans and keep different teams aligned when there are lots of moving parts?

Have you worked closely with both business teams and data/tech teams, helping them stay connected and focused on the same outcome?

Are you confident running meetings with senior stakeholders and pushing conversations forward when needed?

Do you take ownership of risks and issues early, rather than letting things drift?

Have you managed external vendors or partners, challenging where needed and holding them to account?

Have you been involved in data-related projects such as system integrations, data migrations, or improving reporting?

Do you understand the difference between delivering a project and actually making sure it works in the business?

If you enjoy coming into a business, bringing structure, and driving real change, this could be a strong fit.

Our Customer

We’re working with an established international travel business that delivers complex travel programmes across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

They’re now going through a major data transformation. At the moment, like many operational businesses, their data sits across different systems, reporting isn’t always consistent, and there’s a big opportunity to improve how teams use data day‑to‑day.

This role sits right in the middle of that.

They’re looking for a Senior Data Project Manager to take ownership of a number of key initiatives, bringing structure to the programme, aligning teams, and making sure what’s being delivered actually lands and gets used.

You’ll be working across the business — from operations through to senior leadership — as well as managing external partners who are helping deliver the work. It’s a hands‑on role where you’re expected to take control, challenge where needed, and keep things moving.

This isn’t about ticking off project plans. It’s about making sure the business genuinely improves how it works. It would suit someone who enjoys stepping into complex environments, getting clarity quickly, and driving things forward without needing everything to be perfect from day one.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in a business‑critical transformation, with real visibility and the chance to make a lasting impact.

Job Description

In this role, you will lead the delivery of key transformation initiatives, ensuring projects drive real behavioural change and measurable business outcomes. You will coordinate across teams and partners to deliver complex programmes, with a strong focus on data, governance and long‑term value.

  • Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of transformation initiatives
  • Develop and manage integrated plans across multiple workstreams
  • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies
  • Lead governance forums with clear reporting and actions
  • Manage third‑party partners, ensuring quality and accountability
  • Oversee data initiatives including migration, integration and optimisation
  • Support development of structured data models and reporting frameworks
  • Ensure alignment of reporting, metrics and data governance standards
Experience Required
  • Extensive project delivery experience across transformation or change initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams
  • Experience delivering system integrations and working with data migration and consolidation
  • Proven ability to manage third‑party suppliers and hold them accountable
  • Skilled at managing multiple, interdependent projects
  • Confident communicator, able to lead steering forums and report clearly
  • Commercially aware, with experience tracking benefits and ROI
  • Proficient in project tools such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence
