Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturingcompany that provide both mechanical and electronic components for the MOD/Aerospaceand Oil and Gas industry.

Due to the increased demand in the manufacturing department,they are looking for a senior project manager.

·Development and execution of project processesand documentation in conjunction with the Operations Director.

·Chair project review meetings.

·Prepare and implement MS Project schedules inconjunction with the design and manufacturing teams.

·Accountability for project financial performance

·Monitor, review and prioritise work scheduleswith the team

·Identify, manage and mitigate project risks

·Ensure requirements of contract are flowed downto the project team with clearly defined tasking

·Provide advice and work with team to resolvematters relating to quality, costs, work schedules, supply chain and technicalissues as required

·Monthly reporting of project progress 'actuals'against forecast: schedule; milestones; product cost; project cost and estimateto completion

·Manage sub-contractors and work partners toensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality constraints

·Provide exception reporting to management asrequired and refer any key issues for advice and approval

·Ensure that project resource demands arearticulated in accordance with the company's resource management process

·Ensure that the project is managed in accordancewith the company's defined project execution and Lifecycle governance processes

·Assist in the management and maintenance of thecompany’s quality management system

·Keep the Operations Director informed of workprogress to schedule and discuss issues arising.

·Manage customer expectations, in-line withcompany priorities and capabilities.

·Identify follow on business opportunities andmake recommendations to the customer in conjunction with the Director team

·Participate in pre-bid/bid stage discussions

·Manage the Project Coordinator, includingallocation of tasks, review of the quality of the work, supervision andestablishing any training requirements.

Requirements

·Experience working in a Programme/ProjectManagement team in a technical and/or defence environment

·Ability to lead teams

·Ability to communicate using a variety ofdifferent mediums, accurately and in a timely manner

·High level of capability with MS programsincluding Excel, Word and Project

·Good understanding of financial reporting andmanagement

·Experience of project managing delivery ofmanufactured products/programmes and working with clients

·Experience of workingwith the MoD and familiarity with MoD's acquisition process

·ISO 9001 Internalauditing experience

·Experience of MRPsystems

·Knowledge of riskmanagement processes

·Experience workingwith overseas governments
