An exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, with experience in the construction industry (building fabric, building services, and minor works), to join our Local Government and Education (LG&E) Team delivering programmes of lifecycle and minor capital works across multiple sites in Cornwall.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering projects in a cost-effective manner, demonstrating ‘value for money' to clients, across Mitie's portfolio. Responsibilities include procuring specialist designers and contractors, managing compliance with project delivery methodology, governance, and health and safety, and controlling all project changes.
Proven track record in project development and delivery, preferably with a degree in surveying or construction, and membership of relevant institutes (e.g., RICS, CIOB). Knowledge of PFI contracts, legislation, and project management tools (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) is essential. Must be proficient in MS Office and MS Project, capable of managing multiple projects (£1K to £2M), and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a consultancy or FM environment, strong leadership, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills. Full UK driving license and ability to pass DBS screening required.
