Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Thames Water team in the Thames Valley region. The role focuses on delivering design and build services for Thames Water infrastructure, collaborating with supply chain partners and internal teams to meet KPIs and ensure successful project delivery.

You will manage construction programmes, engage with health, safety and wellbeing partners, and lead design integration and assurance activities to align with asset standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in the water industry.
• Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (BEng/ONC/HNC/BTEC).
• CSCS card, SSSTS and Confined Spaces certification.
• Ability to review RAMS and understand risks in process plant.
• Commercial awareness and collaboration skills.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing and updating construction programmes to meet key milestones.
• Engaging with supply chain partners on health, safety and wellbeing; leading by example.
• Overseeing design integration and performing design assurance against Thames Water asset standards.
• Chairing supply chain meetings; escalating issues as needed.
• Promoting a right-first-time culture and capturing lessons learned through case studies.
