Network Rail is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Telecoms) to lead engineering delivery for renewal projects in the Southern region. You will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio, ensuring compliance with Railway Standards and company requirements from concept to completion.
You will undertake Level 1 Engineering Assurance responsibilities, act as a Designated Project Engineer or Project Engineer, and support delivery partners within the Southern Renewal
The Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE) brings together industry-leading organisations to develop, mobilise and deliver a £9 billion renewals programme across the Southern region between 2024 and 2034. Are you an experienced Telecoms Engineer ready to make a real impact on the future of the railway?
As a Senior Project Engineer (Telecoms) within Works Delivery, you will join a specialist team delivering Telecoms renewal projects across the Southern Region. Working as part of the Southern Renewal Enterprise (SRE), you will play a key role in a collaborative delivery model, helping to deliver safe, reliable and efficient railway infrastructure.
You will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, Railway Group Standards and Network Rail standards throughout design and construction. Working across operational and non-operational telecoms systems, you will apply your expertise to drive engineering excellence and support project delivery from concept through to completion.
You will also undertake Level 1 Engineering Assurance responsibilities, including acting as a Designated Project Engineer (DPE) or Project Engineer (PE), while supporting delivery partners across the SRE. In addition, you will help ensure that appropriately qualified and experienced engineers are deployed effectively and that engineering risks are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Salary: Band 3C/ £55,596-£67,813
Location: London Puddle Dock
This is a full-time permanent position.
