Job summary

Addison Project Plc in Middlesbrough is seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to lead engineering projects from concept through to delivery. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, develop execution plans, and maintain cost and schedule controls while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

The role offers a permanent staff position in a growing company delivering energy, chemical, manufacturing and process sector projects across the UK. UK onshore experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Experience delivering projects within process industries (chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy).
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across all project functions.
• Commercial awareness and proactive problem solving.
• Previous UK onshore Process Sector PM/Senior Project Engineer experience.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.
• Experience managing design engineering and construction activities.
• Professional membership or working towards chartership desirable.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations and process industry standards.

You will work alongside our multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, leading projects from concept through to completion whilstmaintainingthehighest standards of safety, quality, costcontroland client satisfaction.

The Role

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring objectives are met safely, efficiently and commercially.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Develop project execution strategies, schedules and budgets.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project activities.
• Maintain project controls, monitoring progress against scope, cost and programme.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation.
• Support business development activities, proposals and tender submissions where required.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.

What We Are Looking For

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the process industries, including sectors such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy or similar.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively across all project functions.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer in the UK onshore Process Sector.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls methodologies.
• Experience managing design engineering and construction activities.
• Professional membership or working towards chartership is desirable.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations and process industry standards.
