Job summary

Addison Project plc is seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our on-site EPCM team in Daresbury for a 12-month contract. You will lead design packages for onshore process upgrades and new builds, collaborating with clients, project managers and other disciplines from concept through commissioning.

The role emphasizes piping and mechanical design, calculations, and technical reviews, with site surveys and vendor engagement as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in UK onshore process industries (chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, energy).
• Design office experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping design principles.
• Familiarity with standards and codes (ASME, API, PD5500, PED, PSSR, ISO, EEMUA).
• Experience producing or reviewing mechanical and piping documentation.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical and piping engineering design packages.
• Develop specifications for piping systems, pressure equipment, pumps, valves, tanks, heat exchangers and associated mechanical equipment.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment assessments.
• Review and approve mechanical and piping design deliverables.
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews and multidisciplinary project meetings.
• Undertake site surveys and technical inspections.
• Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor engagement.
• Provide construction and commissioning support where required.
• Ensure all activities comply with legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
• Contribute to project schedules, estimates and technical proposals.

Workscope

We are seeking aMechanical PipingEngineer(design)tosupport onshore EPCM process sector upgrade and new build projects.

Youwill work as part of our multidisciplinary EPCM team, supporting the delivery of engineering projects from concept design through to detailed design, procurement, constructionsupportand commissioning.

You Will be involved in a variety of UK onshore process industry projects and will collaborate closely with clients, project managers,designersand fellow engineering disciplines to support successful project delivery.
