Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of capital investment projects across a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You'll play a key role in delivering equipment, utilities, infrastructure and process improvement projects that enhance site performance, safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital engineering projects, from concept through to implementation and handover.
- Develop business cases, project scopes, budgets and financial justifications.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Manage contractors and external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive improvements in manufacturing equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
- Support GMP-compliant facility, utilities and process equipment projects.
- Maintain project documentation, risk assessments and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering and operational teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to operators and engineering teams to minimise recurring equipment issues.
- Promote best practice in health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all activities.
About You
- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects within pharmaceutical, life sciences, FMCG, chemical, food, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and process engineering systems.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and project timelines.
- Demonstrable leadership capability, either through direct line management or technical leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of GMP environments and regulated manufacturing standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Project Management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Experience of design and construction projects, including utilities, facilities and process equipment.
- NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience with continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
