Job summary

Wood Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior project delivery lead to drive capital projects from concept to completion within a multi-disciplinary team for pharmaceutical facilities. You will coordinate design partners, vendors and contractors to ensure safety, quality and budget alignment while delivering timely project outcomes.

This hands-on role shapes project delivery with global experts and aligns with client priorities.

Qualifications

  • HND or degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience delivering capital projects in pharma or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with CDM and HSE standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO QHSE standards.
  • Experience with brownfield electrical scopes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-discipline work packages and ensure delivery per ISO quality and environmental standards.
  • Manage project scope and interfaces across engineering disciplines to secure successful outcomes.
  • Review vendor documents for issues and ensure timely responses.
  • Monitor and report progress with Project Services and Engineering teams.
  • Facilitate safety reviews, maintain safe working practices, and drive design-stage risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with construction, HSE, procurement, subcontractors, and project control to keep schedule and budget.
  • Prepare and check scope of work, procedures, and deliverables; support change control and commercial aspects.
  • Act as focal point for assigned projects, expediting issues and delivering progress reports.
  • Organise/lead safety meetings and respond to all documented actions in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate design verification competence and integrate design with procurement/fabrication schedules.
  • Provide responses to site queries and monitor vendor document cycles.

Experteer Overview In this role you deliver capital projects from concept to completion within a multi-disciplinary Wood/client team. You will coordinate with design partners, vendors, and contractors to drive safe, compliant, and timely project outcomes in a pharmaceutical facility. You'll work across infrastructure upgrades and production-line modifications, balancing safety, quality, and budget while aligning with client priorities. This is a hands-on, leadership-enabled role that shapes project delivery on critical assignments with global experts.

  • Lead multi-discipline work packages and ensure delivery per ISO quality and environmental standards
  • Manage project scope and interfaces across engineering disciplines to secure successful outcomes
  • Review vendor documents for issues and ensure timely responses
  • Monitor and report progress with Project Services and Engineering teams
  • Facilitate safety reviews, maintain safe working practices, and drive design-stage risk mitigation

  • Manage plant changes safely and in a regulated environment
  • Prepare and check scope of work, procedures, and deliverables; support change control and commercial aspects

  • Demonstrate design verification competence and integrate design with procurement/fabrication schedules

  • Tasks: HND / Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and CDM requirements
  • Experience in regulated environments and full project lifecycle delivery
  • Ability to manage interfaces across engineering disciplines and with vendors
  • Understanding of project contractual and commercial requirements, change control
  • Familiarity with GxP and ALCOA concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication and planning skills
  • Experience working with ISO standards for QHSE management
  • Background in electrical project scopes on brownfield sites (preferred)
