Job summary

Morson Edge is working with a well known organisation to recruit a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join their Water/Utilities division on the Isle of Wight. You will report to the M&E Manager and support the delivery team to coordinate plant design and procurement strategies to meet the contract programme.

The role requires a basic engineering background, familiarity with NEC contracts, and CDM/Health & Safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Basic engineering background required.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Engineering/technical qualification (HNC minimum).
• CDM and Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project/Construction Manager in coordinating plant design and procurement strategies to ensure timely information for construction, commissioning and operation in line with the Contract Programme.
• Provide cost data for forecasts and evaluation of variations.
• Assist in delivering effective and economical plant design and procurement plans to meet project milestones.

Morson Edge are working with a well known organisation who are seeking a Project Engineer OR Senior Project Engineer to join their Water/Utilities division.

Location - Isle of Wight

Salary - open to discussions depending on experience and the level of the candidate.

The client is looking to strengthen their Delivery team with a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer working on a Water project based in the Isle of Wight.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager and you will assist the Project / Construction Manager in co-ordinating an effective and economic plant design and procurement strategy ensuring information is issued in time to enable construction, commissioning and putting to work in line with the Contract Programme provide cost data for forecasts and evaluation of variations

Essential experience needed:

• Basic engineering background
• Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NEC
• Engineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required
• Experience of supply chain expedition
• Knowledge of water and waste water treatment processes
• CDM & Health & Safety knowledge

Desirable experience needed:

• Relevant professional qualification an advantage
• Collaborative approach
