Job summary

Morson Edge, working with a well known organisation, is seeking a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer for a Water project based on the Isle of Wight. The role reports to the M&E Manager and supports the Project/Construction Manager in delivering economic plant design and procurement strategies.

You will contribute to timely information flow, cost forecasting and variation evaluation in line with the contract programme to ensure successful construction, commissioning and operation.

Qualifications

• Basic engineering background.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• CDM & Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project/Construction Manager in coordinating plant design and procurement strategies to meet the contract programme.
• Provide cost data for forecasts and evaluate variations to support construction, commissioning and operation.

Morson Edge are working with a well known organisation who are seeking a Project Engineer OR Senior Project Engineer to join their Water/Utilities division.

Location - Isle of Wight
Salary - open to discussions depending on experience and the level of the candidate.

The client is looking to strengthen their Delivery team with a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer working on a Water project based in the Isle of Wight.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager and you will assist the Project / Construction Manager in co-ordinating an effective and economic plant design and procurement strategy ensuring information is issued in time to enable construction, commissioning and putting to work in line with the Contract Programme provide cost data for forecasts and evaluation of variations

Essential experience needed:

• Basic engineering background
• Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially NEC
• Engineering/ Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required
• Experience of supply chain expedition
• Knowledge of water and waste water treatment processes
• CDM & Health & Safety knowledge

Desirable experience needed:

• Relevant professional qualification an advantage
• Collaborative approach
