Job description

The Linthwaite production site is a Centre of Excellence for semi-solids and liquids manufacturing. Joining a team of project engineers, you'll be responsible for delivering capital projects across the UK Cluster related to upgrades and renewals of site services and equipment. Candidates should have experience in Construction Engineering or Asset/Machine Engineering.

On a day-to-day basis, you will prepare accurate project budgets for new capital projects, define and deliver project milestones on time and within budget, review and approve design work from external suppliers, and manage contractors on site throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is an ideal stepping stone for a candidate with a solid foundation in project engineering, looking to manage larger projects, develop people management skills, and gain exposure to working with senior stakeholders.

• Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent; Project Management Qualification (e.g., APM PMQ) is highly desirable.
• Solid project engineering experience and knowledge of project management systems, including stage gates.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, managing CapEx projects of £5M+.
• Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and process systems.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred, though FMCG manufacturing experience is acceptable.
• Strong HSE knowledge; NEBOSH qualification is highly desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence senior management and external suppliers.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other UK Cluster sites as needed.
• Experience managing contractors and writing permits.
