Job summary

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead major E&I and Mechanical projects across UK locations. You will set strategic direction, ensure safe and compliant delivery, and represent the client and organisation at senior levels.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive value delivery, manage budgets and risks, and build strong relationships with regulators and partners to ensure successful handover and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large E&I and mechanical projects in regulated environments.
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction and commissioning.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and change control on major programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across engineering, construction, commissioning and commercial functions.
• Take accountability for safety, programme delivery and quality in line with objectives.
• Mobilise, execute, commission and handover projects to time, cost and quality targets.
• Manage contracts, variations, claims and supplier relationships.
• Establish governance, reporting and risk management processes across projects.
