Job summary

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead major, complex E&I/M projects across regulated sectors. You will be accountable for safe delivery, programme adherence and financial performance, acting as a senior client and supplier representative.

The role requires strategic direction across engineering, construction, commissioning and commercial functions, with governance, risk and stakeholder management at the core. A senior leadership presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large, complex Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical projects.
• Experience in Nuclear, Power, Energy, Water, Pharmaceutical or Industrial Manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commissioning, commercial, planning, quality and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Take accountability for HSEQ, programme, commercial performance and delivery.
• Lead project mobilisation, execution, commissioning and close-out.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, profitability, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Develop and implement commercial and contractual strategies.
• Manage contractual obligations, change control, variations, claims and dispute avoidance.
• Establish governance, reporting, programme controls and risk management.
• Provide senior oversight of engineering, construction, quality assurance and commissioning.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators, senior stakeholders and supply chain partners.
