Job summary

Costain Engineering Limited (CEL) is seeking a Project Controls Lead to build and run a digital suite of cost, budget and schedule controls across CEL’s engineering portfolio.

You will lead the project controls team, liaise with CEL delivery teams and sector clients, and deliver concise dashboards and reports for senior management. Hybrid role based in Manchester, London or Aberdeen with occasional travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven record of leading project controls initiatives and teams within an engineering or professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all engineering project controls matters and liaise with delivery teams and management to identify requirements and priorities.
• Build and maintain a digital suite of engineering project control systems from the ground up to monitor and report performance (cost, budget, schedule, EVM).
• Establish monitoring and reporting requirements with delivery teams to meet project needs while keeping processes streamlined.
• Create clear reporting outputs and dashboards for performance metrics at project and CEL management levels.
• Ensure data quality and integrity used for project controls and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and collaboration across teams to integrate controls with wider project reporting.
