Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is seeking an experienced project controls professional to manage HS2 project controls in the Midlands and Birmingham area. You will establish requirements, ensure compliance, and drive performance reporting across complex programmes.

You will coach and mentor planning staff, implement lean governance, and collaborate closely with the project team to deliver on budget and schedule while maintaining Zero Harm and safety priorities.

Qualifications

• Extensive planning and project control experience in large complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of tender and contract documents.
• Experience coaching and developing others.
• Ability to implement lean, coordinated and visual performance metrics.
• Proven ability to manage risk and opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Establish HS2 project controls requirements and ensure compliance.
• Support the performance measurement baseline and updates.
• Capture and integrate current and forecast programme, budget, cost, and risk.
• Lead and develop project control staff to reach their potential.
• Promote best practices and innovation.
