The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre provides support to projects that range in complexity and size with our service offerings spanning across Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management, and Commercial Disciplines.
We support the full project lifecycle both pre-contract and post-contract, delivering infrastructure projects ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to major projects and programmes worth over £200M.

Due to growing client requirements, we are actively looking to expand our team with talented individuals to support our Defence client portfolio, while further developing their careers on complex and challenging commissions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Facilitate identification, assessment, and prioritisation of threats, opportunities, and issues within projects through workshops and direct support to project teams.
  • Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling and retirement.
  • Use risk data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in identifying and recording management responses, ensuring they are measurable and specific, and assess post-mitigation positions.
  • Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining risk budget.
  • Collaborate with contractors to assess risks and their views on client-held risks impacting them.
  • Produce timely risk reports to support effective communication of threat and opportunity status.
  • Support quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.
  • Utilize tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran, or web-based database tools like ARM, Predict, or Power-BI.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and relevant experience in a risk delivery role.
  • Membership of a professional body such as APM, IRM, or PMI.
  • Understanding of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment.
  • Experience in threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
  • Knowledge of integrated risk management processes on large programmes.
  • Awareness of governance and policy guidance including IR.
