Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on defence-related projects in the UK. You will shape scope, establish baselines, and manage change with suppliers, finance, and project teams.

The role requires experience in regulated sectors, and a proactive, communicative leadership style. Expect on-site and client collaboration 2–3 days a week with travel as needed within the UK.

Qualifications

• As evidenced by a track record delivering projects in highly regulated sectors such as defence or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-discipline Project Controls teams on medium risk, medium complexity, and medium value projects.
• Define scope with exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies to enable WBS.
• Establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline and manage change control.
• Collaborate with suppliers to analyse performance data per contractual requirements.
• Ensure scope, cost, risk and schedule integration and alignment.
• Analyse Earned Value Management data to inform delivery decisions.
• Liaise with Finance to generate Cost and Cash Estimating profiles and EACs.
• Promote effective risk management and incident response planning.
• Support project managers with resource deployment and governance processes.
• Mentor and coach team members to raise capability.
