Job summary

Civil Works Alliance seeks a Senior Project Controls Engineer to deliver the project controls strategy for Sizewell C, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, time and cost constraints. You’ll implement Earned Value Management and integrate programme controls across the M&T section.

You will report to the Project Controls Lead within the PMO and work with international tier 1 contractors to drive excellence and delivery on this 3.2 GW energy project.

Qualifications

• At least 8–10 years’ experience in project controls on complex mega infrastructure projects.
• Experience with contract, cost and EVM systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the strategy for project controls within the agreed constraints, including Earned Value Management.
• Report to the Project Controls Lead within the Marine & Tunnels section of the PMO.

Senior Project Controls Engineer Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theMarine and Tunnels Section.

What will you do?

The Project Controls Engineer's role is to deliver the strategy for project controls within the agreed constraints, including controls for programme, productivity and time and cost integrated controls in the form of Earned Value Management. This post will ensure that control is in accordance with all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to meet the project's needs.

The Project Controls Senior Engineer reports directly into the Project Controls Lead, as part of the M&T section within the PMO Function

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 8-10 years’ experience in project controls on complex and mega infrastructure projects and programmes of works working for leading international tier 1 contractors.
• APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control Practitioner or equivalent
• Relevant undergraduate degree.
• Hands on experience running contract, cost and EVM systems e.g., PRISM, Unifier and InEight.
