Job summary

Our Client is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Lead to shape the controls framework for a major UK infrastructure programme. You will drive cost forecasting, data integrity, and insightful reporting across the project lifecycle, influencing decision-making at programme and board levels.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, strong experience in project controls, and expertise in EcoSys or Primavera P6. Hybrid working options are available within the UK.

Qualifications

  • Degree in project management, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong experience in project controls environments.
  • Advanced expertise in estimating tools and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
  • Experience with systems such as EcoSys, P6, or similar.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects desirable.
  • Nuclear or regulated industry experience beneficial.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project controls activities across a major programme area.
  • Produce and maintain accurate cost forecasts aligned to CBS/WBS.
  • Ensure integrity of project controls data within key systems.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting with clear performance insights.
  • Review and challenge estimating assumptions and risks.
  • Support scenario planning and estimating workshops.
  • Collaborate with risk and project teams to improve data integration.
  • Engage contractors to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Present insights at programme and board-level reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and reporting.
